Over the past weeks, I have received a number of inquiries as to what it is like working with Dr. Zubowski in his New Jersey Plastic Surgery Practice. I can honestly say, Dr. Zubowski is one of the most exacting surgeons I have ever worked with as an anesthesiologist. He sets extremely high standards for himself and those that work with him. This results in all members of Jandee Anesthesiogly striving to maintain the highest caliber of anesthesia care with emphasis on eliminating the side effects commonly associated with anesthesia. Dr. Zubowski, more than anyone, pays close attention to the outcomes and experiences of his patients. This attention requires us to keep practicing at the very highest level. We constanly pay attention to the small details that impact our patients experience, as does he. As time goes on, I plan on discussing specific details in this forum.

New Jersey breast augmentation patients can now choose between saline or silicone implants. After careful consideration of your personal desires and of course a discussion with your surgeon, your decision will be easier than you think. Today, when given a choice, 9 out of 10 women worldwide, outside of the U.S. choose silicone gel filler.

It is important to know that both saline and silicone filled implants have an outer shell or cover made of silicone. Various types of silicone have been used for years in many other medical devices such as pacemakers, heart valves and artificial joints. Because silicone is used in so many life-saving medical devices, it has been extensively studied for decades.
Two key differences between saline filled and silicone filled implants are the material that fills the implant and the technique used to implant them during surgery.
Saline implants are filled with salt water which is naturally occurring in the human body. During surgery, the empty implant shell is placed in a carefully designed pocket under the breast area and then filled with saline solution to achieve the desired result. On the other hand, silicone filled implants are pre-filled before being placed and therefore their volume cannot be adjusted during surgery. Surgical adjustments are made by changing the size of the silicone implant.
Today there are more options than ever before for Breast Augmentation in New Jersey. Ultimately, it is up to each women, along with her surgeon, to decide what implant option will provide the most natural look and outcome desired. The key is to strive for natural looking enhancement.

The success of Botox® mirrors the efficacy of the injectable itself. In the seven years since the FDA approved it for treating frown lines Botox Cosmetic have become household words among those seeking to erase wrinkling between the eyebrows, forehead lines, and crow’s feet. Our Paramus NJ practice at the Robert Zubowski MD Center for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery reflects the latest survey on Botox® Cosmetic by the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS).
At our New Jersey plastic and reconstructive surgery practice, Botox® Cosmetic continues to be our most frequently requested minimally invasive procedure. Botox works by restricting muscle action, evoking a relaxation response when injected into a targeted muscle. Botox® is extremely effective in soothing skin creases and wrinkles in the area requiring cosmetic intervention. Botox® treatment carries no downtime, and over the three to six months post-treatment, patients realize even greater results. Since the effects are transitory Botox® sessions are typically required no sooner than every three to six months. We, at our New Jersey practice, like countless plastic surgery centers across the U.S. have discovered that Botox® has many virtues with few minor side effects (transitory bruising and numbness at the injection site). Rarely, immunity to Botox’s advantageous effects can occur if used more frequently than prescribed. However, at the Robert Zubowski MD Center for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery of New Jersey, none of our patients have experienced this problem. We credit these outcomes with out diligence in following recommended treatment guidelines.
In addition to cosmetic applications Botox is used to treat axillary hyperhidrosis( excessive sweating of the hands, feet, and/or under the arms), and drooping of the eyelids and corners of the mouth. In June 2009 the FDA approved Dysport (Reloxin), a cosmetic injectable alternative to Botox. It’s expected to be available this summer.

I have used Latisse for the past 4 months and I am excited to show you my fabulous results. I am so happy with my new, luscious and incredibly long lashes. I simply applied the product before going to bed – it was that easy. I began to notice results in 6 weeks and now have the eyelashes I always wanted without having to apply mascara. Try it, you’ll love it!

(before and after pic goes here, align left of 1st and 2nd paragraph)
Many of us approaching the prime of our life will eventually begin to reflect some of our life experiences on our skin in the way of wrinkles. While some of us where these lines as a kind of badge of honor many others wish to reduce or erase these signs of age.
As the skin of the face ages there are several things that take place which can accentuate wrinkles. We begin to loose fatty tissue and therefore volume in our face which tends to have a deflationary effect taking one from an appearance of youth, which typically has a more rounded facial appearance to an elongated or skeletonized look. This coupled with a generalized thinning of the dermal layer of skin and weakened elastic fibers contirbutes to wrinkling. The severity of any one of these processes will determine the most effective treatment or combination of treatments.
If there is significant soft tissue laxity and deflation then a Facelift may be the first course of treatment to remove this laxity and help restore volume which will begin to soften the wrinkles. This may then be followed by Skin Resurfacing with either a Laser or Chemical Peels to further iron out any remaining fine lines. To the extent that some of these lines persist, sof ttissue fillers such as Radiesse, Restylane or Juvaderm will often lend further improvment.
In patients who don’t have significant skin laxity, skin resurfacing combined with fillers and botox (to weaken the muscles pull on the skin) may be all that is necessary to achieve a succesful rejuvenation.
The best way to determine which treatment is right for you is to consult with a board certified plastic surgeon who will be able to help guide you through your options.

New Jersey breast augmentation for teens have accounted for an increasingly larger percentage of patients undergoing breast surgery in recent years. At the Robert Zubowski MD Center for Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery many teenagers seeking breast augmentation do so to correct breast asymmetry – a condition where one breast is larger than the other. Using adjustable implants, Dr. Zubowski can equalize the breast size and shape to improve appearance and minimize physical awkwardness.
Surgical reduction of very large breasts can eliminate back pain often associated with excessively large breasts and can help teens overcome both physical and psychological burdens associated with excessive breast size.
In order to achieve the best results with either of these procedures, Dr. Zubowski recommends that teens delay surgery until breast growth is complete. In this way, the long term results will be more stable with less possible need for revision.

You can radiate “bling” on your wedding day with a little help from the professionals at the Robert Zubowski, MD Center for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in New Jersey. In addition to all the proven surgical techniques our center also specializes in non-invasive and minimally invasive modalities. Best of all, they can take years off your true age, are easy on finances, and provide long-lasting results well beyond the honeymoon.
Schedule an appointment about a month prior to your event. Should your attendants want the royal treatment too bring them along. After a detailed evaluation Dr. Zubowski can customize a treatment plan. If the goal is a brighter, healthier complexion our licensed aesthetician will perform a comprehensive analysis. Laser treatments can erase dark spots, smooth wrinkles and fine lines, decrease acne scars, improve texture, and more. Combination modalities, such as microdermabrasion and a chemical peel realize amazing results. Also, ask about a photofacial. Many mothers of the happy couple (and grandmas, too) opt for laser hair removal, a miraculous no-fuss treatment that eliminates embarrassing facial hair. Oftentimes a liquid face lift may fit the bill. It consists of three to four vials of Radiesse to revolumize the cheeks and decrease nasolabial folds and marionette lines. Restylane and Juvederm also address nasolabial folds and marionette lines, as well as adding youthful fullness to age-related thinning lips.
Then there’s Botox, everyone’s favorite no-downtime standby, treating crow’s feet and frown lines. And speaking of Botox, have you heard about Latisse, a product created by the manufacturers of Botox? Apply it to your upper lashes daily and in eight weeks you’ll have lush, longer, darker movie star eyelashes. Finally, in preparation for the big day remember to schedule an appointment with our makeup expert who can recommend products and demonstrate application to complement your cosmetic work.
