Ultrasonic Liposuction in New Jersey

The ultrasonic liposuction technique involves the use of a special cannula (a suction tube) that emits ultrasonic energy, which liquefies fat cells to make them easier to remove. Ultrasonic liposuction offers a very precise approach and is most effective in the more fibrous areas of the body, such as the chest and back. Tumescent Liposuction

When Dr. Zubowski performs tumescent liposuction, he first infuses large amounts of a local anesthetic solution mixed with epinephrine into small incisions made in the target area. Epinephrine helps counteract bleeding while the anesthetic ensures that the liposuction New Jersey patient remains awake but comfortable throughout the tumescent liposuction procedure. Once the tissues in the target area have tumesced, or become firm, the doctor begins to remove the fat using a small cannula. With tumescent liposuction, recovery time is minimal and the patient can normally return to light exercise within a few days of the procedure.
