Latisse is the only FDA approved prescription treatment for hypotrichosis (having inadequate or not enough lashes) used to grow eyelashes, making them longer, thicker, and darker.
The onset of effect with Latisse is gradual. In the clinical trial, the majority of Latisse users saw a significant improvement by 2 months.
Latisse is applied to the base of the eyelashes once nightly with a sterile applicator, going from the inner part of the lash line to the outer part. Using Latisse more than once a day will not increase the growth of eyelashes more than daily use.
A question we get very often is “What if I stop using Latisse?” and “Can I continue to wear mascara while using Latisse?” If you stop using Latisse your lashes are expected to return to their previous appearance over several weeks to months, and yes, you can use mascara in addition to Latisse.
Not everyone is a Latisse New Jersey candidate, so be sure to talk to Dr. Zubowski or Jennifer, our esthetician, to see if Latisse is right for you.
